This would be ideal for an enthusiastic individual who would thrive on the responsibility and opportunity to deliver high quality support to the UK's Air Defence Network. This role will challenge your influencing and communication skills, it is also immensely rewarding. You will be responsible for fire safety assurance at RAF Boulmer, as well as the geographically dispersed radar and communications sites across the UK. <h4>Job summary</h4>The Asset Denial teams work to substantially reduce the level of serious and organised crime affecting the UK by denying criminals access to their illicit assets, recovering the proceeds of crime, and deterring and disrupting further criminality. The Civil Recovery and Tax team (CRT) utilises an array of asset denial powers to target the highest risk and most serious and organised criminals.<h4>Job description</h4><p>The Financial Investigations Manager for the Civil Recovery &amp; Tax team (CRT) is responsible for delivering asset recovery against high impact economic crime through managing and leading a team of Financial Investigators responsible for developing and progressing complex investigations on development and tasked CRT financial investigations under Part 5 Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) 2002. </p><p>You will lead and manage a team of financial investigators, acting as senor investigating officer and supporting progression of operations from tasking through to recovery to erode the profit motive thereby undermining a key incentive associated with the highest risk and serious and organised crime.</p><p>Your varied duties mean that every day will bring a new challenge. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p><strong>Overview of the job </strong></p><p>This is a non-operational instructional job in an establishment.</p><p><strong>Summary </strong></p><p>The job holder will be responsible for providing supervision, knowledge and skills to prisoners in a specialist workshop so they can improve their employment prospects on release with a view to reducing reoffending. The job holder will ensure that all services are provided to a high standard and that security and control is maintained at all times. The jobholder will be able to teach prisoners towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications and may be supported by external organisations such as local colleges. </p><p>This job description is not for use by jobholders in basic assembly / packing workshops, instead Production Instructor – Enterprises should be used. However, on an exceptional short term basis jobholders can supervise prisoners in more basic workshops. </p><p>This is a non-operational job in an establishment with no line management responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities, Activities and Duties </strong></p><p>The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:</p><ul><li>May participate in the selection process of prisoners for the workshop/area of work.</li><li>Induct prisoners to the workshop/area of work and train them in aspects such as health and safety, Control of Substance Hazardous to health (COSHH), machinery and tools usage.</li><li>Provide support for prisoners where required; tailor learning and training requirements to individual needs.</li><li>Set work schedules and manage targets/quality standards, maintaining delivery of contractual arrangements.</li><li>Assess and evaluate skills of prisoners up to national qualification standards.</li><li>Supervise and maintain discipline of prisoners within workshop/area of work, responsible for performance, motivation, discipline, appraisal and development of prisoners.</li><li>Maintain regular communications via radio net in accordance with Local Security Strategy (LSS).</li><li>Open and complete Assessment Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) forms, Violence Reduction Incident Reports (VRIR) and Security Information Reports (SIRs) when required and contribute to Incentive Earned Privileges (IEP) reports.</li><li>Will conduct a metal detector scan or rub down search of prisoners attending and leaving their own workshops.</li><li>Provide quality assurance against product specification.</li><li>Log attendance and approve prisoner hours worked and wages including recording piece work where appropriate.</li><li>Carry out fabric and tool checks of workshops and maintain security of areas, logging any tool/equipment faults. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p><strong>Overview of the job </strong></p><p>This is a permanent, non-operational role with no prisoner case-level responsibilities.</p><p>The role will sit within Prison Group Director (PGD) management structures, however, a heavy focus on and presence in establishments will be required (usually with time split between 1-3 prisons depending on complexity and demand at each establishment and local housing landscape) with the expectation that post holders will travel as and when required. </p><p>There are no line management responsibilities as part of this role, and we do not expect the post holder to have operational experience, although this may be advantageous when working within the establishment.</p><p><strong>Summary </strong></p><p>This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the Government’s commitment to eliminate rough sleeping by the end of 2023/24. The post holder will be responsible for a cluster of 1-3 prisons, splitting their time flexibly between the prisons in their portfolio. Prisons that release low numbers to the UK will fall under the ‘consultancy’ category; for these, post holders will be expected to offer ad-hoc housing advice but these prisons will not form part of their cluster.</p><p>The post holder will identify areas for improvement with respect to access to accommodation for prison leavers and will work in partnership with key strategic housing stakeholders, probation commissioned rehabilitative services (CRS), and Homelessness Prevention Teams (HPTs) to implement sustainable change. You will ensure that work between each prison and relevant HPTs continues to integrate, and that senior leaders across the agency are supported to improve the quality and use of data.</p><p>In order to offer informed support and guidance to Governors and their teams, the Strategic Housing Specialist will be required to understand, amongst other aspects, the security category of their base prison and the geographical locations to which prisoners will be released. Prison familiarisation training will be provided to ensure successful candidates have the fundamental knowledge they need to be effective in their roles.</p><p>For roles across the women's prison estate, post holders should adopt a trauma informed and gender specific approach to their role. Post holders should ensure that all activities reflect and embrace the diverse nature of prison populations, including the individual resettlement needs of the female prison population.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities, Activities and Duties </strong></p><p>The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties: </p><ul><li>The Strategic Housing Specialist will be responsible for co-ordinating the strategic response of 1-3 prisons to improve housing outcomes for prison leavers and people in prison. They shall strengthen and support partnership working between the prison, all relevant housing stakeholders and other key resettlement agencies. They will identify existing structures/partnership working to address homelessness from custody in the region, and work to develop new solutions to homelessness from custody. </li><li>They will champion delivery of the Homelessness Reduction Act (HRA) and Duty to Refer (DtR), Offender Pathway (Wales) within the prison. This to include:</li></ul><ul><li>Working with partners to ensure referrals under the DtR are as efficient and effective as possible.</li><li>Design and deliver (or coordinate the delivery of) training related to homelessness within the prison and relevant statutory criminal justice agencies, so staff understand accommodation issues, increase their knowledge around the HRA and DtR, can identify related needs and have the knowledge to respond appropriately.</li><li>Promote the HRA and DtR amongst prisoners to address unhelpful myths, set realistic housing expectations and encourage engagement with the commissioned rehabilitation service, prison housing stakeholders, and local authorities.</li><li>Developing pre-release assessments with Local Authorities in response to DTRs, through telephone, video and in-person assessments.</li></ul><ul><li>Promote the work of the Accommodation Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) within the prison and support these services by representing the prison on any joint engagement with external partners, such as local authorities or HPTs or local homelessness board. Contribute towards Accommodation CRS becoming successfully embedded into the prison and promote their work to the prison’s Senior Leadership Team. Help to find solutions to issues that arise in relation to practical challenges in service delivery and an understanding of the role of CRS with all relevant staff groups. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p>The post holder will be responsible for leading on supporting prisoners with needs arising from neurodivergence.</p><p>Developing and implementing, through close collaboration with stakeholders, a ‘whole system’ principle is of paramount importance, with the focus firmly on supporting individuals to achieve and progress through Education, Skills and Work pathways throughout their sentence. The Neurodiversity Support Manager (NSM) will liaise with the Head of Education Skills and Work (HoESW), Learning and Skills Manager (LSM), Industry Managers (IMs), Activity Managers (AM) and the education provider to ensure prisoners are supported to engage with education skills and work or not, and that they continue to be supported in the community, including by the probation teams.</p><p>The post holder will provide support and guidance to ensure that all staff and stakeholders share the same vision and ethos of neurodiversity.</p><p>The post holder will ensure that actions across education, skills and work (ESW) within their prison support a whole prison improvement approach which supports wider improvements across the estate.</p><p>This is a non-rotational, non-operational job with no line management responsibilities.</p><p>Responsibilities, Activities and Duties </p><p>The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:</p><p>• Focus on improving and ensuring that the quality of neurodiversity support and provision is at least good and moving towards outstanding. This is to include assessment of quality to inform the prison education, skills and work improvement plan which can be applied across various learning channels, e.g. classroom, industries, work areas, workshops, gym etc.<br>• Develop and maintain neurodiversity needs strategy for the prison, incorporating and working with key stakeholders. This should include as a minimum: Head of<br>Education Skills and Work (HoESW) LSM, Head of Reducing Reoffending (HoRR), Provider education and/or curriculum managers (including regional leads), Employment lead, New Futures Network (NFN) broker, Prison Work Coach, Head of Offender Management Unit, libraries, Careers Information Advice and Guidance (CIAG), activities, gym, industries manager, key worker.<br>• Develop and maintain the systems and structures to ensure that delivery of all Education, Skills and Work activity is appropriate to all cohorts. Recommend and test related solutions leading into an improvement plan. Working with Senior Management Team (SMT) to implement, maintain, invest and update it as necessary.<br>• Manage the collection and collating of data on neurodiversity at local level. Continually analyse and evaluate current practice for how neurodiversity provision is tailored to the needs of a wide range of prisoners, including those who are hard to reach, vulnerable prisoners, and those for whom English is not their first language.<br>• Track the progress of neurodivergent prisoners in education, learning and work (including kitchen, horticulture, waste management industries/ workshops, wing work and orderly/peer roles), analyse data and identify any participation and achievement gaps and address these.<br>• Case manage prisoners who require additional support to access education, skills and work opportunities within the prison to ensure it is both appropriate and helpful. Ensuring individual prisoners’ neurodiversity related information is shared, appropriately and lawfully, with relevant prison teams, e.g. PEF, CIAG, LSM, AM Health Care.<br>• Ensure that the needs of neurodivergent prisoners are considered in terms of availability of activities, appropriate adaptations and reasonable adjustment as required and sufficient places by working with the LSM, activities and industries managers.<br>• Raise awareness of Neurodiversity in the prison. <h4>Job summary</h4>Please refer to Job Description<h4>Job description</h4><p><strong>Overview of the job</strong></p><p>The role is based in a prison and will involve working in groups and one-to-one to deliver a programme to help prisoners understand their behaviours, build positive relationships, improve critical thinking skills and support them to live an offence-free future. The role will work as part of a small team of Group Workers to provide an important rehabilitative service and meet the Government’s ambition of reducing re-offending.</p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>The job holder will deliver a range of activities and programmes, which include assessment, group and individual treatment and provides support to wider rehabilitative activity within the prison.</p><p>The post holder will be supported through training, career development opportunities and professional support.</p><p>This is a non-operational, non-rotational job with no line management responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities, Activities and Duties</strong></p><p>The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:</p><p>• Deliver programmes in a group or individual basis, following a manual and delivering as designed.</p><p>• Organise materials for session delivery.</p><p>• Plan sessions as per the programme requirements and identify ways to deliver the sessions in a responsive way to meet the needs of the participants.</p><p>• Notify the Treatment Managers and other team members when sessions are unable to run, and complete missed session catch ups.</p><p>• Identify and actively recruit future programmes participants, completing assessments, and screening tools whilst maintaining an accurate database of the outcomes.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of assessments and contact with prisoners.</p><p>• Conduct motivational interviews with prisoners with the aim to engage them in programmes.</p><p>• Continually motivate and engage future, current and past participants.</p><p>• Complete post session de-briefs and record accurately any key information from the sessions.</p><p>• Complete post-programme tasks including writing a record of progress, setting objectives, contributing to post-programme reviews and communicating progress with sentence management team, for each programme participant.</p><p>• Actively engage in sentence management by liaising with prison and community Offender Managers.</p><p>• Work towards the delivery guidelines outlined within the quality assurance framework, supported by your treatment manager.</p><p>• Actively engage in supervision provided by treatment and programme management teams.</p><p>• Engage in continual professional development opportunities supported by your line manager.</p><p>• Deliver awareness packages to other staff in the establishment.</p><p>The duties/responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present and is not intended to be exhaustive.
