Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Who are we?
Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Our school caters for children from the age of 7 up to 16 years (Key Stages 2, 3 and 4). 
We help children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who may be struggling to keep up with the pace of work, may be losing confidence, or struggling with the overwhelming sensory environment of their mainstream school. Candidates should have a sound understanding of Local Government VAT requirements, and specifically how our ongoing capital projects and any future major development work involving external companies would impact the Council's VAT arrangements.

About the role:
As Triage and Assessment Worker you will play a significant role in supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse, some of your key responsibilities will include:

As a successful Triage and Assessment Worker, you will have experience of working directly with vulnerable families, ideally within a domestic abuse, safeguarding, or trauma-informed context. You will also have experience of case management and case presentation. This role provides support for core curatorial work for the Museum service, ensuring professional collections standards are met.
The Assistant Museum Manager will help people to understand their heritage through engaging with the collection, so that they can develop a sense of belonging and pride, and increase access to heritage through effective collections management and innovative programmes of exhibitions, outreach, and digital development.
A successful Heritage Lottery Fund grant was awarded in 2018 for the development of a new home for the Museum. The old building closed to the public in February 2019 and the new premises opened to the public on 1 November 2019. The new space, at the Samuel Wickens Centre, is much better suited to showing the history of Rustington in a cohesive format and includes visitor experiences, such as an oral history bank and interactive stations. A temporary exhibition area allows a changing programme of events and a space to hold family activities and host talks for visiting community groups during the day.&nbsp;
The Museum shares the building with a Community Hall and the Information Centre in the heart of the Village.&nbsp;
The postholder will support the delivery and growth of engagement with new and existing audiences.
They will support the Museum Manager with cataloguing, care, research and interpretation of the Museum’s Collection and will be involved in all aspects of curatorial work.

We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Practitioner to join our small dynamic team. Enforcing food hygiene and health and safety legislation in a wide range of premises, you will be required to carry out statutory inspections, and targeted interventions employing the full range of enforcement tools where necessary. In addition, you will investigate complaints and workplace accidents and conduct outbreak investigations. Offering advice and support to businesses is equally important.
You must be a keen, self-motivated person who can work well as part of a busy team. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and use your initiative to carry out your duties effectively. You will be appropriately qualified with a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and be registered with the Environmental Health Officer’s Registration Board, or the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Your current competencies will include being able to carry out the full range of food hygiene interventions in line with the FSA’s code of Practice.
You must have a driving licence and be able to work outside office hours on occasion.

This role is within the housing sub-team of the London Plan.
