About the role…
As the MiCare Nurse duties and under the direction of the Assistant Team Manager, you will enhance health and social care support for MiCare service users in line with Rutland County Council policies, objectives, and standards. This role is central to promoting independence, enabling choice and control, and preventing unnecessary hospital or care home admissions.
Key Responsibilities include…

<li>Support the development of a neighborhood and prevention agenda through a strong multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach.</li>
<li>Provide clinical advice and support to the MiCare Team as required.</li>
<li>Deliver training on delegated healthcare tasks to staff.</li>
<li>Build effective links with GP surgeries and community nursing teams to ensure a holistic approach for individuals using the service.</li>
<li>Contribute to care planning that prioritises independence and well-being.</li>
</ul>
About you…
To be successful in the role you will need to have:

<li>Registered Nurse (NMC) qualification</li>
<li>Experience in community health or social care settings</li>
<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li>
<li>Ability to train and mentor staff on clinical tasks</li>

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Registered Building Inspector to join our Local Authority’s Building Control team. You’ll join a busy team and play a key role in ensuring that building work across our borough complies with the relevant legislation and technical guidance documents. The service is working to QMS standards (accredited to ISO 9001 2015) for the provision of public sector building control and public protection.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assess building regulation applications, plans, and specifications.</li>
<li>Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and approved plans.</li>
<li>Liaise with architects, builders, and members of the public on building control matters.</li>
<li>Investigate dangerous structures and take appropriate enforcement action.</li>

About the role…
As a Community &amp; Wellbeing Worker you will play a key role in delivering Rutland’s physical health and wellbeing offer. Duties include:

<li>Working closely with partners to reduce health inequalities, increase physical activity, and improve access to services across all communities.</li>
<li>Developing and delivering evidence-based physical activity and wellbeing programmes for children, young people, adults, and families—supporting both prevention and early intervention.</li>
<li>Coordinating and delivering a range of early and focused support through groupwork and 1:1 interventions, including physical activity-based sessions.</li>
<li>Supporting and promoting the physical health, mental health, and wellbeing offer available across Rutland.</li>
<li>Collaborating with volunteers, community groups and multi-agency partners to deliver impactful, innovative solutions focused on active lifestyles and improved wellbeing.</li>

As a Community and Wellbeing Worker, you will be required to work flexibly, when the community needs support. A full UK driving license is required to enable the post holder to travel around the county. Evening and weekend work may also be required.
The successful applicant for the Community and Wellbeing Worker post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.

Over the last nine years, the Council has acquired a commercial property investment portfolio of significant financial and community value in order to increase income to help maintain services and to further its regeneration plans for the borough. The work will involve a wide range of non-contentious matters, focusing on landlord and tenant work relating to the retail property portfolio, but will also include advising on other types of commercial property matters, proposed development sites and other Council matters as appropriate.
The Council is looking for a candidate who can progress property transactions, working collaboratively with the Council’s property team and with minimal supervision and has the confidence to tackle a variety of other matters. We are particularly keen to hear from people who can teach any of the following subject areas. <ul><li>Family learning – Courses which equip parents and carers to support their children’s learning. </li></ul><ul><li>Employability – Courses which provide adult learners with the skills needed to get into work, education, training or self-employment or to progress in their current job. </li></ul><ul><li>Supported learning – Courses for adults with learning disabilities. </li></ul><ul><li>Digital skills – Courses to improve IT skills needed for life or work including online safety and supporting families with safe IT use, essential digital skills and how to use digital devices. </li></ul><ul><li>Mental Health First Aid – Courses which provide the skills and knowledge needed to support others with their mental health and wellbeing. </li></ul><ul><li>Building stronger communities – Courses which provide the skills to work/support/create opportunities within the local community. </li></ul><ul><li>Cookery – Courses which provide the skills to make healthy and budget aware meals and snacks </li></ul>Once appointed to the tutor pool, tutors can build a working pattern to suit on a course-by-course basis. This makes the role ideal for both those who only want to work a few hours a week and those who want to build a more substantive role and timetable of classes.
