 About the Role You will be responsible for assisting the Revenues &amp; Benefits Quality Assurance Manager in providing quality assurance on the Local Taxation and Benefits functions (Council Tax, Business Rates, BID’s and Benefits). We will provide you with the necessary support and training so you may grow and develop your career. You will work closely with colleagues, customers, and external agencies to provide a high-quality service.
Regular inspections will be required for sites that have been given planning permission, be it new builds, alterations or developments, where you will need to monitor their progression to establish an effective date of entry, for when they can be brought into the valuation/rating list. Please note that it is a requirement of this role to have a full UK driving licence and access to a car that can be driven for Council business purposes.

Brokerage and DP Officer Grade&nbsp; £38,934 - £40,755 &nbsp;per annum Fixed term contract for 6 months full time. Brokerage and DP officer is a role in the Brokerage and DP team. You would be working mainly in one of the functions of the team – Direct Payment Set up or Brokerage. You would be supporting residents either to set up direct payments or by brokering packages and placements. We're looking to appoint 5 Collection and Recovery Processing Officers on a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the Role:
The Revenues and Benefits Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit 5 new Collection &amp; Recovery officers within the Debt and Income Maximisation Team. This is an exciting time to join us as we develop an enhance teams and endeavor to developing our colleagues and encouraging personal growth, in conjunction with a flexible working approach, so everyone can thrive in an inclusive and open environment. The successful candidates will be working within the Debt and Recovery Teams, to ensure the maximisation of revenue for the Council..
About the candidate:
You will have an understanding of income and debt processing procedures, withknowledge of relevant specialist legislative requirements eg. Council tax, business rates, accounts receivable and benefits. The successuful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
You can expect to join highly dedicated teams and work with skilled and committed managers to take forward our ambitious and exciting change programme. Focussed on continuous improvement and quality services you will work in a supportive environment, with a strong leadership team, giving stability, direction and energy to the service and making a difference.
We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working between home and office will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base, and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Our technology platform and equipment allow you to connect and collaborate remotely which requires that you have in place good connectivity.
