We have fantastic opportunity available for a Residential Children’s Home Assistant Manager to join our brand-new, multi-building Residential Children’s Homes within the borough.
As the Assistant Manager, you will play an active role in the day-to-day operation and provide key support to the Residential Homes Manager in their responsibilities for the effective management of the residential children’s homes. Key responsibilities:

<li>Support the Homes Manager to ensure that the service meet its statutory responsibility and is compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015).</li>
<li>Assist in the development of a professional team that performs to the highest standards, ensuring effective supervision, staff development and training.</li>
<li>Support the Homes Manager to exceed expectations at Inspection and Regulation 44 visits in terms of delivering positive outcomes for young people.</li>
<li>Work openly with Quality Assurance to ensure good safeguarding standards and high-quality information recording are maintained.</li>
<li>Line management for 8/9 members of staff over a working week, including 2 Senior Support workers, 4/5 Support workers and 1/2 Waking night staff.</li>
<li>Take immediate management action when the welfare or safety of children or young people is as risk.</li>

Candidate Requirements:

<li>Hold a professional qualification in Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent.</li>

Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 09:00 - 17:00, you may need to work outside these hours, and this role may need to work bank holidays as per service requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a warm, driven and enthusiastic individual to join our Lewisham team as Deputy Service Manager (DSM). This role offers an opportunity to support and grow a trauma-informed, inclusive service for people with mental health and complex needs. You’ll work within our Integrated Community Rehabilitation Service, supporting residents who’ve been discharged from acute mental health wards starting structured rehabilitation support for 9 months in the community. The service has two community rehab services which offer 24‑hour support ensuring compassionate, around‑the‑clock care. As a DSM, you’ll line manage around 8 staff per site and will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to collaborate with probation, job centres, mental health teams and other community partners.&nbsp;
We’re looking for someone compassionate and experienced in mental health and complex needs someone who brings empathy, tailored support and real dedication to help each resident thrive. The role includes:

At Larchwood we provide short break overnight respite care for children and young people with severe and complex needs.&nbsp;
<h3>About you...</h3>
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated person to join our team as a Waking Night Children's Residential Care and Support Worker. You will be enthusiastic about providing the highest quality of care and support to our children and young people. &nbsp;
This is a waking night role: one night per week plus 2 additional nights per month.&nbsp; The hours are 21:00 to 09:00.&nbsp; There will be an opportunity to pick up extra shifts, covering annual leave and sickness.

The children and young people are all unique and require individualised care. Staff strive for excellence and ensure that the care provided is responsive to the children/young people’s views, wishes, and feelings.
Our team offer high levels of support through monthly supervisions and fortnightly team meetings.

<li>To participate in the delivery of a range of short break opportunities including tea visits, overnight stays and weekend play sessions.</li>
<li>To meet the night time needs of the children and young people, including but not limited to manual handling and medical requirements consistent with training received.</li>
<li>To ensure the safety and welfare of the children/young people are maintained throughout the night. Ensuring that children and young people are safeguarded from abuse.</li>
<li>To promote children and young people’s independence and communication needs.</li>

Support Worker - Mably HouseWe currently have an opportunity for a full-time support worker (37.5 hours) to join our homeless supported living service, at Mably House, in Hatfield.Mably House provides supported housing for 35 residents. Mably house consists of 35 self-contained units, and each resident has their own self-contained flat with the support of staff from Monday to Friday. The aim is to provide personalised one to one support for a period of up to 24 months, with the goal of helping each resident move on successfully into independent accommodation.As a support worker, you will support worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live independently and with dignity.
