The Post
Business Administrator level 3 Apprenticeship working in the Adult Social care, commissioning, contracting and market management team.
This role will help to support services within Adult care that provide assistance to Brent residents.
Key functionalities
<ul>
<li>Ensure that individual services are brokered in a timely manner, and that necessary IT systems information requirements are maintained to ensure that other processes such as client charging and billing; provider invoicing and contract monitoring can be maintained.</li>
<li>Respond to day to day concerns raised about the brokerage of services and/or the quality of services and that they direct enquiries to the relevant teams where further action is required.</li>
<li>Regular liaison will with case workers within the department.</li>
<li>Day to day liaison with care and service providers.</li>
</ul>
The Person
No experience is necessary as this is a training role, however, an understanding of the role is advantageous.
Keen to learn, you will demonstrate good communication skills, an understanding of good customer service, team work and an interest in developing a career in business administration.
You will also need to show your interest in local government and the delivery of public services. We will also be looking for a flexible and positive approach to work.

Qualifications required
English and Maths level 2 is desirable, but not essential and can be added as part of the apprenticeship training. However, the employer can choose to remove this requirement dependant on the candidate.

All of the mainstream maintained schools and academies in the Borough currently commission EP support from the Service. This enables – alongside statutory and other Local Authority core work – EP contribution to SEN Support level assessment and consultation, organisational support and intervention, and community-based projects. Members of the team each link with a relatively small number of schools and other settings, with scope to provide a range of support within them. There remains a healthy balance of pre-statutory and preventative work, alongside a statutory role. This service aims to prevent, reduce and delay need by ensuring people access a wide range of information/advice, intervention, and support at the right time and in the most uncomplicated way possible.The Gateway Connections team is a hybrid office/home working telephone and virtual contact team all about working preventatively with adults who need information, advice, and support to stay independent in their own homes for longer. The multi-disciplinary team works with Social Workers and Occupational Therapists and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for people of Hertfordshire.Applying HCC’s Connected Lives assessment framework, Gateway Connections work with citizens focusing on what the person wants to achieve – their outcomes. We explore personal strengths, their family and friends’ support networks, and using expert knowledge we connect people with things that will help individuals and families to get on with their lives, achieving prevention, reducing or delaying the need for statutory provision of care services.We work collaboratively with our operational links in the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise preventative strategy, Herts Help, and social prescribing. Relationships will also be developed with Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) Single Point of Access, the Frailty single point of contact, &amp; Health partners.<h4>About the role</h4>You will promote and support a strength-based approach to all interventions to maximise independence, health, and well-being by offering opportunities to prevent, delay or reduce the need for Adult Social Care. This will require you to apply your creativity working with residents to ensure their safety and continued independence.
