We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual to join our Streetworks Team based in Hackney Central.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, and working as part of a busy, friendly team, you will ensure that the Council's obligations under the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, Traffic Management Act 2004, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, &amp; The London Permit Scheme are discharged efficiently and effectively in order to reduce disruption to the public highway and enable the Council to fulfil its network management duty.
Duties will include, but not limited to, managing the full lifecycle of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs), ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal procedures. This includes assessing and approving applications, reviewing traffic management plans, and coordinating with stakeholders such as utility companies, contractors, emergency services, and internal departments.
The role involves monitoring active TTROs to ensure safety and compliance, resolving operational issues, and conducting site inspections when necessary. As a senior technical lead, the post holder will provide expert advice on traffic regulation matters, mentor junior staff, and support continuous improvement across the service.
They will also contribute to process development, including digitisation initiatives, and produce reports on TTRO activity and performance. Additionally, the role may require providing support during emergency works or out-of-hours incidents to ensure rapid and effective traffic management.
Ideally, you will already have a good working knowledge of all current legislation and a methodical approach which enables you to undertake your work effectively and efficiently. Experience working in a similar fast-paced environment, and a working knowledge of Streetworks systems would be an advantage.
Competent IT user, with good working knowledge of a range of packages including Google Docs &amp; Sheets, Microsoft Word and Excel. You will also have a sound understanding of current Streetworks Registers, and the use of Street manager and One network would be beneficial. You will be customer focused and possess excellent communications skills.

The Capital Works Projects team are a dedicated division within Property Management, set up, to deliver all strategic, multi discipline, capital project works across the Camden property portfolio. &nbsp;The role As the M&amp;E Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in collaboration with the Programme Manager to oversee and execute nominated works that span a diverse array of scopes and technical complexities, specifically within the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors. Your annual project portfolio is substantial, valuing between £4 million and £10 million. In this role, your responsibilities are multifaceted, extending to overseeing district heating system upgrades, spearheading lift replacement programmes, and managing door entry systems replacements and electrical upgrades. A particular emphasis is placed on projects within the social housing sector, highlighting the need for your expertise in navigating the unique challenges and requirements of these environments. This role demands a deep understanding of both the technical and social dimensions of M&amp;E projects, underlining the importance of experience in social housing to ensure successful project outcomes. Familiarity with ISO, British and PAS Standards, and Building Regulations is crucial for delivering best practices and modelling risks associated with sustainable construction. About the role
Due to growth and investment in the team, 2 exciting opportunities have arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
We’re now looking for 2 events executives to play key roles within the team. You’ll work on the stewardship, marketing and delivery of a portfolio of events, and your role will involve developing strong relationships with supporters, volunteers and suppliers, helping to maximise income and drive repeat participation.&nbsp;
About you 
You’ll have a keen interest in charity events fundraising. Working on either your own portfolio of third-party events or our bespoke events, your duties will include the recruitment of participants, the development of stewardship communications and supporting marketing activity to meet net income and targets.
We’re a dedicated team with our supporters at the heart of what we do. If you have experience of delivering events in the charity sector and building relationships with supporters, then this could be the role for you.
