You’ll ensure that the processing of all applications for Planning runs smoothly, and you’ll be responsible for liaising with customers about their applications, providing advice and guidance, so experience in a customer facing role is ideal.
You’ll bring your excellent attention to detail and an organised approach to ensure that applications are accurate, and they follow the correct procedures.
Knowledge of Planning services is desirable; however, full training will be given.

Hackney’s Housing Department is changing. We are looking for an experienced Head of Customer Services &amp; Quality to set up and lead this brand new service within Tenancy Services, following a recent service review.

With experience gained in a social housing setting and holding or willing to work towards a Chartered Institute of Housing qualification, you will understand the differing strengths, needs and barriers to accessing services that people living in social housing often experience. You will understand the need to work holistically along customer journeys rather than in service silos, and will ensure your new service is tailored to ensure residents with additional needs are not left behind. You will support the workforce to develop the skills, behaviours and competencies required to deliver our vision through the establishment of training resources, toolkits, procedures and other guidance via our emerging workforce development plan.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Camden’s private sector housing team. The Council has a large number of houses in multiple occupation and has operated a successful&nbsp;borough-wide additional HMO licensing scheme since 2015.
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Environment Health Practitioner, or a graduate EHO working towards their Chartered status, to join our HMO Enforcement team.&nbsp;
At Camden we strive to make use of all enforcement tools available to protect tenants and ensure accommodation is of a suitable standard. We are looking to continue to expand upon this good work as it is estimated that there may still be up to 5,000 unlicensed HMOs operating within the borough.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a small multi-disciplinary enforcement team consisting of Environmental Health Officers, Tenancy Relations Officers (TROs), Trading Standards Officers and dedicated legal support.
The role will require you to take personal responsibility for investigations into unlicensed and/or dangerous HMO properties, carry out reactive and proactive inspections of both licensed and unlicensed HMOs, serve enforcement notices, issue civil penalties and take prosecutions. You will also be required to consider other high level enforcement interventions including rent repayment orders and banning orders for the most serious cases.
The multi-disciplinary set up enables the team to ensure that tenants are provided with holistic housing advice and enforcement action can be taken for harassment and illegal evictions as well as Housing Act 2004 offences. The multi-disciplinary set-up provides an opportunity for you to work closely with colleagues in other areas and improve your knowledge and understanding of related housing legislation which may not be regularly enforced by EHOs.

We are seeking a Senior Revenues and Benefits Officer to join our supportive and customer focused team, who arededicated to providing an effective and responsive Revenues &amp; Benefits service to Hertsmere residents.
The duties will include deputising as required for the Principal Benefits Officer, whilst supervising and managing a team of staff dealing with the assessment and payment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.&nbsp; The post holder will ensure customer enquiries, complaints and claims are dealt with in an efficient manner, and that performance and customer service are maximised.&nbsp; A high level of accuracy and efficiency is required.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar department in order to have obtained a thorough knowledge of Housing and Council Tax Benefit Legislation and practice, knowledge of DWP welfare benefits and recovery of overpaid benefits.&nbsp; They will also have mentored, coached and trained other members of staff.&nbsp; You will be skilled in all Microsoft office systems and Civica OpenRevenues.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).&nbsp;

Hackney’s Housing Department is changing. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Social Work Lead to be based within our new Tenancy Sustainment &amp; Community Cohesion Service and to work across Housing and Adult Social Care via a matrix management arrangement.
A recent service review highlighted the need to improve our ways of working with residents who have a range of health and social care needs and where those needs are jeopardising the sustainability of their tenancy.

Spelthorne Borough Council is seeking to appoint a Support Worker / Driver to work at the Greeno Centre in Shepperton, to provide transport in the borough for elderly and disabled passengers to also provide support at the Centre.
The Centre provides activities and entertainment but also provides additional care and support for a group of individuals who are not able to participate in the centre independently. Your role will be to support these individuals whilst at the centre and to also transport elderly &amp; disabled passengers to and from the centre.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner to join our Multi-Disciplinary Service, the Specialist Parenting Assessment and Interventions team. You will work as part of a team of professionals to deliver specialist assessments and interventions with families where children are subject to pre-proceedings under the Public Law Outline or care proceedings. The children in these families will be supported by other teams in Medway Children’s Services as this is not a case-holding post.
